Dave Blanchard's Jupiter Class of '72 archive

are HERE.

The opening page is blank- just click on the year for the reunion pics.

The site used to be linked on the right-hand side of this blog but that link no longer works. This blog no longer works with the newer Google blog format so I can't update the links.

I abandoned this blog after Facebook took off. It's still worth taking a peek at some of the pictures posted here.

Details about our upcoming reunion are HERE.
Our class Facebook page is HERE.

I encourage all of you to use Facebook to check in with all your old friends.

When The Moustache Was King!

L to R: Carlin Park lifeguard Pat Crowley, the baby is Ryan Berube who grew up to swim in the Olympics. On the right is lifeguard Dave MacGregor. Picture taken in 1973 or 74.

Where Are They Now? Bruce Lanahan

Bruce has been living in Dallas for the last twenty years where he works as a Financial Advisor.

He still has family in Florida and visits the state several times a year. Bruce is still in touch with Jay Cole, Sheldon Gifford, Don Copeland and Sam Plummer, among others.

He wrote "You know, I moved to Jupiter at the beginning of 9th grade and left at the end of my junior year, so I was barely there three years, but the memories and the relationships were far more significant than the time spent."

Bruce finally married "at the ripe old age of 53" and is pictured here with his wife, Holly and children Annie (2) and Rye (8 mos.)

As usual- click photo to enlarge.

Where Are They Now? John Chisolm

One of the purposes of this site is to catch up with old friends. John Chisholm '71 Class President stumbled across the site recently and filled me in on his whereabouts.

Most people who knew John remember that he graduated from MIT and settled in California.

In 1997 he founded CustomerSat a Silicon Valley-based customer feedback company. This year he merged with MarketTools, a leading provider of online market research based in San Francisco. Together they form the third-largest online market research firm in the world.

He chairs the MIT Club of Northern California and travels extensively.

John's mother moved to California after his father passed away several years ago. His sister lives on the west coast of Florida.

He closed the merger deal while traveling to Angkor Wat, Cambodia in March/April 2008.
He is pictured here visiting a 12th century Buddhist (or Hindu) Temple where, apparently, he also discovered the Fountain of Youth.

Writing In The Round

Sue Brandt aka Mrs. Kent Howerton, sent in this stationary mailed to her from Pam Hutchinson in 1972.

Pam bought the stationary from the Junior class stationary/magazine drive. The funds were raised to finance the prom.

The back featured circular lines. I don't know WHAT they're hiding but Pam and Sue refuse to let me read it.

Vote Early, Vote Often!

I just came across the original "art" for the 1970 campaign for Junior Class officers.

I really don't understand the point I was trying to make and neither did our constituents who swept us into office anyway.

Bumper Sticker #2

Restoring the West Palm Beach Courthouse to its original 1916 version meant tearing down the facade built around it in the late '60s. Among the artifacts recovered by the contractor was this vintage bumper sticker printed circa 1970.

I copied the original (the new owner wouldn't give up this priceless bit of local history.) The original had white letters on a green field.

I always thought this thing was a riot. Perhaps someone with better photoshop skills than I can restore it to its former glory.
