You can't send a boy to do a Best Man's job

I found two more photos from the Sanderson wedding (posted in October.)

Steve Bercaw, the Best Man, poses with the ring box stuck to his nose.

In the picture at the top he poses with Pat Crowley who sports the rental tag (Costumes by Faye!) attached to his pants. A laugh a minute!

Our subsequent marriages failed while the Sandersons have soldiered on.

Washington reunion

Washingtonians Mike Anderson and Steve Crowley discuss the merits of striped shirts with Washingtoniette Donna Poncerolli. Shot taken in Rosslyn, Va a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Mike!

Yearbook staffers

Lou Zavaletta, Judy LaRue and Pam Hutchinson appear in the Jupiter Tequesta Outlook article about the Class of '72.

Mrs. LaRue has retired from teaching. Pam and Lou ahve barely aged a day since this picture was taken which is kind of creepy.

Judy

Judy Gladwin poses on the beach at Carlin Park shortly after graduation.

Photographer Steve Crowley's reflection can be seen in the lense.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi Students,

Intstead of trotting out those shop-worn Martha Stewart pie recipes, why not serve my delicious Rosie Apple Dumplings instead?

Bring a batch to your next reunion. You WILL be graded.

Dave Blanchard's pictures

Dave Blanchard photographed the 10th, 20th, 30th
and 35th reunion. They are posted at his website.
Thanks, Dave! They're a wonderful gift to us all.

A message from your Guidance Counselor

It has come to my attention that some of you students are having trouble working your UNIVACS.
Miss Brandt attempted to post a comment but became confused and frightened when asked to register. It is painless and simple.
We'd love to hear from you. Kindly stop lurking around the hallways and post a comment. Better yet- email a picture or scan in a piece of ephemera to share with your classmates.
Click on "2007" there to your right and you'll get all the blog entries posted so far.
I'm so ashamed of you all!

Protest

This picture of a protest at the West Palm Beach courthouse was taken in our junior year. Note the crop marks- that portion, featuring Steve Crowley, was used in the yearbook. The rest, including Dru Kinsey at her angry radical best, is seen here for the first time.

Anyone remember what this was all about?

When I was your age...

We published our school newspapers outside! We didn't HAVE "buildings" back then and we LIKED it! Susie made it to the 35th reunion, btw.

Bond Girls

The exact amount of the bonds' value wasn't revealed but rumors are that Julie, Beverly and Karen are current rulers of a small nation-paradise in the South Pacific.

Prom

These pics were scanned from the May 26, 1972 edition of the Jupiter/Tequesta Outlook. Click to enlarge. Please don't open the picture of Lou and Steve in front of small children or pacemaker wearers.

Click on "October" to your right...

I just spoke to Steve (Crowley) a few minutes ago- he didn't notice the links to the right. Each is a title to an entry. "October" gets you all the entries so far.

Remembering Steve Bercaw

Steve Bercaw passed away several months ago. He was one of the funniest members of the Class of '72.

Check out the DECA Club photo in your junior yearbook. The teacher at the far left is glowering furiously at Steve who donned a woman's wig purloined from the classroom mannequin to cover his freshly-shorned head (required for his new job at Publix.)

This picture was taken at Steve Sanderson's wedding.

L to R: Brian Crooks, Sanderson, Pat Crowley and Steve Bercaw.

Feel free to share a funny Steve Bercaw story.

A few more...

More pictures from the 35th runion

The reunion was held at the civic center at Carlin Park. Nice turnout! Old friends from other classes showed up as well. Good times. I snapped just the handful of pics posted here. Dave Blanchard is the official class reunion photographer. Hopefully we can get him post some pictures as well as a link to all the pics of our reunions he's taken over the years.

How about it, Dave?

Welcome classmates!

This will be a sort of "semi-official" Jupiter High Class of '72 blogspot.

The site and password will be administered by several people (to be announced later.) All are welcome to use the comments feature.

I'll upload a few pics from the 35th reunion shortly to get things started.

Links to your personal websites are welcome.
